Joseph Guarnieri

Dr. Joseph W. Guarnieri is the director of the Department of Multi-Omics Sequencing and Integrated Analysis at Vhizzy-Pitt. He is also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Additionally, he serves as a research affiliate scientist at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, and as a bioinformatician for the COVID International Research, and NASA GeneLab’s Systems Biology Analysis Working Group. Throughout his career, Dr. Guarnieri has led integrated multi-omics analyses with a focus on mitochondrial dysfunction in response to viral infections, and spaceflight-induced stressors. His work bridges basic science and translational medicine through the application of systems biology, and high-dimensional data integration. In his role at Vhizzy-Pitt, he aims to advance the integration of Multi-Omics data with AI-driven analytics, in order to accelerate personalized and preventive health solutions.
